In 1986, Papindo Trading Company Limited made a significant acquisition by purchasing Lae Fish Supply, which had 15 branches in various locations. These branches included Eriku, Payless Cash and Carry, Goroka Market, Goroka Town, Kainantu, Kimbe, 7th street Lae top town, Lae top town-Food Stall, LFS-8/6 Kiosk, Lae Market, Lihir, Manus, Maprik, Pop Super Centre, and Wewak.
With this acquisition, Lae Fish Supply expanded its operations to provide both dine-in and take-away services. The business gained recognition for its popular dishes, such as Fried Chicken and Chips, Chicken Stew, Beef Stew, Chicken Curry, and Roasted Pork. Additionally, Lae Fish Supply introduced signature items from Kakaruk Haus, including Fried Chicken and Rice, Zinger Burger, Roasted Chicken, Chips, Pizza, hot coffee, and fresh fruit drinks.
